Solís asked Arab authorities to be in charge of the construction of San José-San Ramón road

January 25, 2017 by Staff News Writer

President Solís is not only asking for money for the reconstruction of the aqueducts in the cantons affected by hurricane Otto, he also made another request to the United Arab Emirates.

The president asked the Arab authorities to be in charge of the construction of San José-San Ramón road.

The work contract is now at the Comptroller General of the Republic waiting for its endorsement: the MOPT expects it to happen as soon as possible.

According to Villalta, that request is not against the project or the idea of starting the work, which has been controversial for years.

Solis obtained a 10-million-dollar donation from the Arab authorities to reconstruct the aqueducts. The Government announced that 25 million dollars will be invested in 4 cantons: Upala, Bagaces, La Cruz and Las Barras.
