Solís expects that PANI fulfills its obligations with the funds it receives

December 16, 2016 by Staff News Writer

According to president Luis Guillermo Solís, the declaration of unconstitutionality from Chamber IV regarding cutbacks to the National Children ‘s Trust (PANI), enacted by the Legislature in the Budget 2017, must be accepted.

Solís expects that the National Child Welfare Agency fulfills its obligations to use the money they are given to improve Costa Rican children’s lives.

47 billion colones were cut from this institution to allocate it in the Ministry of Security. However, officials will ask for the funds in the special budget for next year, as stated by deputy minister of the presidency Luis Paulino Mora.
