Specialist teams will assist patients with mental disorders

September 27, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Costa Rican authorities presented the specialist teams who will assist patients with mental disorders.

The teams will be composed of a psychiatrist, a psychologist, a social worker and a nurse. In addition, they will start working in Coronado, Heredia, Quepos and Parrita.

Among the most important changes, patients will be assisted by an entire team, who will help them at the same time. Authorities aim to enable up to 20 teams.

In addition, patients who are addicted to drugs, who haven’t been attended in Ebais or clinics, are the ones who will receive the medical assistance.
