Spectacular pictures of Turrialba Volcano from the sky

February 28, 2018 by Staff News Writer

Iván Salazar

Iván Salazar Cusuko captured the majesty of Turrialba Volcano from above.

I have spent many days and nights next to the majestic Turrialba Volcano. More than a year ago I went to see this volcano. I only managed to see the sign of the entrance because of the bad weather. Since then, I have often seen this imposing colossus from Hacienda La Central – Turrialba Volcano and its surroundings. There I met good people who have supported my project. The weather has not always been optimal, but I always enjoy being there. I have endured sun, water, ash rain, and strong volcanic odors,”

said Salazar.

He added that he then started working with Volcanes Sin Fronteras (VSF), an NGO he has been collaborating with in the collection of samples and with some pictures.
