Strike in the National Production Council is illegal

September 24, 2018 by Staff News Writer

The Labor Court of the First Judicial Circuit of San José declared the strike that some employees of the National Production Council (CNP) have against the tax reform as an illegal practice.

With this resolution, Judge Arnoldo Álvarez indicates the strike is not sufficiently justified, nor does it comply with the requirements established in the Labor Code. Now, the union of this institution has the possibility of filing an appeal against the decision.

This declaration would also allow the institution to sanction those officials who have failed their duties during the strike.
