Strong earthquake shook several areas of the country

A strong earthquake that occurred at 12:48 p.m. on Tuesday shook several areas of the country. The movement, registered by the National Seismological Network, had a magnitude of 3.5 and was located 3 km south of Santa Ana, San José.

The Network indicates that the movement was due to a fault in the crust of the Caribbean plate (local or superficial).

The movement was reported as very strong in San José, Heredia and Limón.
