Taxi drivers from Heredia demand more support from the authorities

June 27, 2017 by Staff News Writer

A group of 300 taxi drivers protested on Tuesday afternoon in the province of Heredia with the aim of having traffic authorities apply sanctions against the informal taxi service.

Different cooperatives of the province united to make the demonstration in front of the facilities of the traffic police.

They are requesting an increase in the number of officers to have greater control in the area against pirate taxi drivers and drivers of different digital platforms.

The National Forum of Taxi drivers explained that this initiative is independent and was not organized by the national union.
