The 10 issues that Solis should address on May 2nd

April 25, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Legislators and analysts hope that the third report of the work of the President of the Republic, Luis Guillermo Solís, offers answers to specific problems and not mere rhetoric.

The president will be accountable to the Legislative Assembly on May 2nd on his third year of government and should set the priorities for his last 12 months of administration.

What are the expectations of some legislators and political scientists? We offer here the ten issues that the president should address: road infrastructure, corruption, fiscal deficit, economic reactivation, actions to save the disability, old age and death pension scheme, wages schemes for the public sector, actions to strengthen public education, civil security, the government’s position human rights violations in Venezuela and actions to move forward regarding human rights and gender equity.
