The Comptroller pointed out CONAVI’s failures on La Platina Bridge

November 10, 2016 by Staff News Writer

The Comptroller General of the Republic declared that the National Highway Council (CONAVI) does not have an updated work program for the proper control of the bridge’s project or for the roadworks’ monitoring.

The project has a total cost of 7.650.609.711, 75 colones and the Comptroller’s Office noted that there is no Quality Control Plan or Quality Verification Plan, because none of them was required by CONAVI.

In addition, the deadline for the project was originally 13 months, but due to repeated extensions and suspensions, now it has an estimated total duration of 40 months.

The comptroller is instructing CONAVI’s Director so that they solve the weaknesses indicated in the report as soon as possible.
