The Government will request more resources to address the emergency caused by Otto

November 28, 2016 by Staff News Writer

President Luis Guillermo Solís declared that legislators are willing to give to the government more resources to address the emergency caused by Otto.

The congressmen from the Legislative Committee on Financial Affairs held talks with the president or the vice presidents to evaluate this possibility and show their support.

Solis informed that the goal is to propose an extraordinary budget to assist the affected people and rebuild destroyed areas.

The emergency of Otto comes at a time when lawmakers approved the budget 2017, in which there were hard cutbacks, as declared by the government.
