A frozen yogurt that will serve as a healthy snack, fruit turned into a healthy, carbonated drink, biscuits and noodles made from vegetables and high-protein pastas are some innovator, healthy food.
These products were created by students of the last year of Food Engineering at the University of Costa Rica (UCR).
It is part of a course in which students learn to give added value to the products and to make a different one. They are offering a great technical, material and time effort to do their best and show their future professionals’ skills,
described Alejandro Chacón, professor of these young people.
According to Chacón, these products can be part of the market. However, it will depend on the entrepreneurial attitude of each group.
The Innovative Food Fair has presented these products for about 12 years.
