The OIJ arrested 4 people suspected of being part of a violent gang

In raids conducted by the Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ) and the district attorney´s office of Heredia, authorities arrested four people suspected of being part of a violent gang, related to burglaries in Heredia. They allegedly raised 22 million colones in 6 burglaries.

Walter Espinoza, director of the OIJ, confirmed that the group was known for the use of violence in each of the burglary it made. Thefts mainly occurred in houses from Mercedes Norte, San Isidro de Heredia, San Rafael and San Francisco.

To commit the crimes, the subjects gagged their victims and covered them with sheets. In addition, it was informed that the suspects have criminal records for similar crimes.

At the moment, authorities are looking for two other members of the group.

The detainees are surnamed García Bolaños, Fallas Aguilar, Rois and Orias Arguedas Mora. They were all captured in raids conducted in Hatillo, Sabanilla de Montes de Oca, Dulce Nombre de Coronado and San Rafael de Alajuela.
