The OIJ: “that is not the person we are looking for”

January 23, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Through its press office, the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ) ruled out that the photos that are circulating in social networks correspond to the suspect of committing Liberia massacre.

According to Marco Monge, an official of the organization, experts said that the person has some similar features with the spoken portrait that officially distributed the OIJ, but it is not the individual they are looking for.

The OIJ released a spoken portrait of the suspect of murdering 5 university students. The person would also have a Chinee-letter tattoo on his back.

The OIJ had already received 40 confidential reports from the citizens.

Investigations continue in the area. Investigators have not revealed whether the motive for the crime was found.

If you have information about the person of the spoken portrait, you can confidentially contact authorities at 800-8000645 or send an email to cicooij@poder-judicial.go.cr.
