Officers from the Public Force found a female parrot in Chacarita de Puntarenas. It was wounded in the middle of the road.

Officers were driving their mobile unit when they saw its incandescent colors, characteristic of this bird, so they stopped to rescue it and with the help of people passing by, they used a box to move it to a safe place.

Once in the station, the Wild Bird Refuge, located in Judas de Chomes, evaluated the parrot and it was transferred to the site for its recovery.

In a different case, officials from Parrita detained two alleged hunters surnamed Arias (38) and Guerrero (42), who were carrying a carbine with eight ammunitions.

The arrest took place because people informed about two men who were allegedly hunting animals in San Julián.
