The strike is illegal in the PANI

October 5, 2018 by Staff News Writer

The Labor Court of the First Judicial Circuit of San José declared the illegality of the strike that took place since September 10th in the Naiconal Children’s Trust.

The strike, promoted by the Union of Employees of the National Board of Children (SEPI) and the National Association of Public and Private Employees (ANEP), was declared illegal because, according to judge Luis Diego Charpantier, it was carried out against a bill that

is under study in the legislative current, which is why it cannot be interpreted as a strike of public policies against the Legislative Power, since it would be violating its constitutional mandate to legislate.”

The judge also condemned ANEP and SEPI to pay ¢150 thousand each.

There are already 14 declarations of illegality that have been issued by the Courts.
