These sectors of San José and Cartago will have no water on Tuesday

January 15, 2018 by Staff News Writer

The water treatment plant of Tres Ríos will stop working on January 16th, leaving different communities of San José and Cartago without the drinking water service.

The suspension of the service responds to the fact that the Costa Rican Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (AyA) will be carrying out the second part of the pipe inspection work. The suspension will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., so AyA recommends the affected population to take the necessary measures and store water in advance.

Similarly, the institution asks the inhabitants of sectors of Moravia and Coronado to make responsible use of the available resource.

The affected areas are: La Unión, San Francisco de Dos Ríos, Zapote, Quesada Duran, Barrio Luján, Morazán, Los Yoses, San Pedro, Vargas Araya, Escalante, Tepeyac, among other sectors of downtown San José.
