This is what you have to do if you want to volunteer to help hurricane victims

November 30, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Those interested in volunteering for psychosocial care of victims of Hurricane Otto can register by email.

Both professional and specialized institutions will be allowed to help. Send and email to voluntariadopsicosocial@cne.go.cr. to request a form that must be completed and returned with the required data.

Psychosocial care is coordinated by the Ministry of Health’s Technical Secretariat for Mental Health.

Those participating in groups and coming from institutions, municipalities, private companies, associations, professional associations and non-governmental organizations, go to the area under the responsibility of the institution to which they belong, which must assume the coordination pf the group of professionals.

Those participating individually, such as freelancers or collaborators of an institution, will go to the area under the command of the Technical Secretariat of Mental Health.
