Ticos fleeing capital for new year

The bus drivers expect to increase the number of travelers this evening, as many private employees work until noon today. | ALBERT MARIN


Bus routes between Limón, Puntarenas and Guanacaste are filling with domestic tourists and residents of the central valley flock to coastal areas in order to enjoy the holiday. Transportes Jacó has increased bus departures to every 30 minutes, instead of the normal two hours. Transportes Mepe has added between five to seven buses per day on its normal route to Puerto Viejo.
