February 13, 2017 by Staff News Writer

On Sunday, 90 people made a trip back in time on the train. Railway lovers enjoyed the day with the return of train trips to Caldera.

The rail route starts in Orotina, it takes travelers to Caldera and returns to Orotina. But there is also a package that offers transportation by bus from San José to Orotina.

We stopped at the Cambalache tunnel, people took pictures and it was very nice. People are happy because it is like going back to the past. There are families who bring their children to show them what they enjoyed many years ago,

said Daniel Vega, one of the organizers of the activity.

The travelers enjoyed several hours in Caldera, then headed back to Orotina. If you missed it, do not worry: there are trips confirmed for February 19th and 26th. And it’s very likely to be extended to March.

The train ride from Orotina to Caldera costs ₡ 7,000. The bus has an additional cost of ₡ 4,000. If you want to enjoy a different day you can call 8914-8509 or 2258-1765 or write on the Facebook page of Transfeco.
