Neftalí Loria was tired of the routine. He could not be a “desk slave” anymore and 15 months ago he decided to start the greatest adventure of his life: to travel around the world with a camera and capture the best landscapes on the planet.

Loría worked designing and programming websites. However, he decided to sell everything. He hated feeling a prisoner of a desk and while watching videos, he realized that the planet had secrets he was missing.

This 28-year old declared that he sold all his belongings to buy a camera that has become his faithful companion when visiting countries like India, Turkey, USA, Italy, Iceland, Egypt, England and others.

It all started as an idea to learn more about photography but it became Freenlost blog, which gained popularity and international recognition.

I did not expect the incredible audience reaction and exposure that gave me the first big video called Land of Kings, India: it had 50 million views and it was awarded with the Vimeo Staff Pick in just 2 days. That inspired me to continue getting the most out of each country and keep improving in order to make better-quality productions,

explained this Heredia citizen.

He added that he did not want to get old without feeling alive:

I wanted to tell what I have experienced to my children and I decided to face those fears along the way: I felt out of my comfort zone.

The Costa Rican has been working as a freelance designer and with a laptop with internet connection, he can work anywhere in the world. He admits, though, that it has been difficult to deal with such an expensive passion, which has forced him to live uncomfortable situations in places like India.

He now dreams of finding more private support before starting a major adventure in South America.

I realized that’s what I want to do. I want to travel and capture experiences in a shocking way. My goal is to continue captivating landscapes from exotic countries with the support of brands and eventually offer workshops and productions that I like from non-profit organizations,

stated the traveller.

Loría has traveled 10 countries so far, but according him, the best video has been Costa Rica Elevated, a film that went viral this week in the country.
