#TourGastronómico: fresh seafood

March 29, 2019 by Staff News Writer

Seafood has become a true culinary treasure. This type of food is awarded many qualities from its exquisite taste, high levels of protein, and even aphrodisiac characteristics.

Its intense smell and taste make it ideal for those who seek an explosion of good taste on their palate, and that is why it is recommended that they be consumed fresh.

If you love seafood, this gastronomic tour is for you. We visit two restaurants that specialize in seafood and bring very bold and creative proposals. Learn more about this tour!

Segundo Muelle:
This restaurant is a Peruvian franchise that is present in more than four countries. It is located in Rohrmoser and it’s the only restaurant in the country awarded with the gold medal of the Peru brand. It is a recognition given by the embassy of that country that evaluates the service provided, the inputs they handle, as well as the preparation of the recipes.

Their specialty is seafood, however, they have alternatives for those who do not eat these dishes. The tenderloin, for example, is a unique cut of meat they offer.

The dishes are characterized by vegetable-based sauces and are usually very spicy and with strong flavors.

Porto 8
With a fresh and attractive style, Porto 8 is located in Plaza Tempo in Escazú. It is a premium restaurant that specializes in seafood and its main objective is to offer dishes made with the best quality of fresh and healthy products.

The space has different indoor and outdoor environments. The presentation of their dishes, the ingredients used, as well as the excellent customer service, are the main components that characterize the place.

It offers a varied menu and one of the most attractive alternatives are the sea and land options that combine fine cuts of meat such with jumbo shrimp and vegetables.

Another special dish is grilled octopus and live oysters. These were two of the options prepared in this gastronomic tour.
