Trade unionists call for support to Albino Vargas, accused of instigation

October 21, 2019 by Staff News Writer

With a video published on social networks, the leadership of the National Association of Public Employees (ANEP), headed in this case by the deputy secretary Wálter Quesada, called its affiliates to support Albino Vargas in the judicial case against him for the alleged offense of instigation.

ANEP leadership asked its members to show up on October 24th at the esplanade of Justice, in front of the main building of the Supreme Court of Justice to give “their solidarity and support” to Vargas.

Vargas must go that day to the First Judicial Circuit of San José at 9 am to present an investigative statement with his lawyer, since he is accused of apparent damage to public peace. The leader is signaled for instigating disorder in the organization of blockades.

On April 9th, the union leader said:

You have to close borders, close Route 27, close Route 32 and Ochomogo, until you force those who ignore us to sit at a table with us.”
