Train service to Cartago will be suspended this week

December 13, 2016 by Staff News Writer

INCOFER suspended the train service between Cartago and San José indefinitely. Some travels between Pavas and San José were also suspended.

The rains during the weekend caused a collapse in the railroad. There is a hole 3 meters long and 3 meters deep in Guayabos de Curridabat.

Cristhian Vargas, President of INCOFER, expressed that the repair work will be carried out throughout the week, taking into account the weather conditions.
