Train will operate normally on Friday and Saturday

November 25, 2016 by Staff News Writer

According to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT) the train service will operate normally on Friday and Saturday.

The Instituto Costarricense de Ferrocarriles (INCOFER) suspend services only if something extraordinary happens with Hurricane Otto.

The service will continue between Rio Segundo, Belén, San Joaquín, and Heredia to the capital, and vice versa.

Pavas and Curridabat, as well as between the capital and Cartago, will also be maintained during peak hours.

According to INCOFER, the rail network was checked on Thursday morning and had no problems.
