Tropical wave #10 caused 13 incidents

The intense rains and strong winds continue to wreak havoc in different parts of the country. Tropical wave #10 through got the emergency authorities to work on Tuesday afternoon and evening.

According to the National Emergency Commission (CNE) a total of 13 incidents were reported, specifically five landslides were reported in Desamparados, Coto Brus, Orosí, and Cartago. Regarding floods, four emergencies were reproted in Golfito, Osa, Curridabat, and Buenos Aires.

The CNE also carried out inspections in sectors of Pococí, Aserrí, Coto Brus, and San José.

This Wednesday, there were moderate to strong rains accompanied by a thunderstorm in the Pacific and Northern Zone regions. For the Central Valley, rainfall of variable intensity is expected with an isolated thunderstorm.

The authorities recommend:

-Caution in areas vulnerable to flooding due to sewer saturation.
-Finding shelter in a safe place in case of thunderstorm or strong gusts of wind near storm clouds.
-Caution due to possible tree branches falling over power lines, among others.
