Turrialba Volcano erupted on Saturday

On Saturday, Turrialba Volcano erupted at 10:25 a.m.

The gas plume rose 300 meters above the crater and 3640 meters above sea level.

The eruptive activity is still in progress and no ash fall or sulfur odor is reported.

The report of the eruption was issued by geologist Jorge Brenes of Ovsicori-UNA.
