Turtles mass arrival searon begins in Ostional beach

August 22, 2019 by Staff News Writer

The arrival of turtles began at Ostional Beach in Guanacaste on August 21st. The wonderful show will last between four and five days, that is, until the weekend.

The warm waters of the Pacific have become the best resting destination for turtles, as they use national “mainland” for spawning their eggs; and soon after, the young make their way through the sand to return to the sea.

Those who wish to observe the “walk” of these turtles can contact the Association of Local Guides (AGLO) at the telephone number 2682-0428.
