Two fires affected San Ramón yesterday

February 8, 2018 by Staff News Writer

Two fires affected the canton of San Ramón de Alajuela on Thursday afternoon.

The first one occurred at 5:15 p.m. in the Quebradillas Sur sector, in a 2,100-square-meter building that suffered damage in 750 square meters that affected the electrical installation, the roof and chicken feeders.

The second fire was in scrubland with three fronts of fire in the vicinity of the headquarters of the University of Costa Rica.

The firefighters managed to tame the flames and controlled the situation with the help of three units from the Sarchí, Palmares, and San Ramón stations.
