Two women were responsible for torturing and burning an informal taxi driver

The Judicial Investigation Agency ( OIJ ) links at least two women responsible for the murder of an informal taxi driver. The body of the victim was found scorched on April 1st in Los Angeles of San Rafael de Heredia.

The victim was identified with the surnames of Ortega Mata. He was 26 years old and a resident of Hatillo 8.

According to Álvaro González, head of the OIJ Homicide Section, the hypothesis is that Ortega was approached by a woman, who asked for a transportation service on March 31st in Hatillo sector.

In addition, according to evidence from the judicial authorities, a second woman was seen in a commercial store buying a large quantity of a hydrocarbon.

The autopsy revealed that Ortega was exposed to the same chemical and also showed signs of torture.

A group of cyclists who traveled through the area were the ones who made the discovery of the human remains and immediately notified the authorities at about 9:30 am on April 1st.

The OIJ located the women in two videos. The investigators ask the citizenry, if they have any information related to this case, to contact the Confidential Information Center of the OIJ through the confidential line 800-8000645 or via WhatsApp 8800-0645.
