Uber regulation would be discussed in September

August 27, 2018 by Staff News Writer

Meetings with taxi drivers, Uber drivers, businessmen, and users would be the first steps of the legislative discussion for the regulation of this service.

César López, president of the National Chamber of Drivers of Technological Platforms (Canacontec), confirmed that on Monday they met with legislator of the Christian Social Unity Party, and president of the Treasury Affairs Committee Pablo Heriberto Abarca, and he told them they will discuss the issue within that legislative forum in September.

López clarified that the camera will not be part of the demonstration towards the Presidential House, convened by another group of drivers; for his position was “waiting a little longer”.
