UCR students take Social Science building

October 18, 2019 by Staff News Writer

A group of students took the Social Sciences building of the University of Costa Rica (UCR), in support of the protesters of the National University (UNA).

We inform you that at this moment some Schools of the Faculty of Social Sciences, including the School of Political Sciences, are being taken. We will close the building as support from the Association of Students of Political Science towards what happened in the different Headquarters and the National University,”

indicated the group through social networks.

The takeover of the building includes at least three floors, while some teachers continue to teach lessons, others preferred to suspend classes.

Apparently the group is made up of students of Geography, Social Work and History of the UCR.

On Wednesday night another group of protesters blocked the passage in front of the School of Law at the Montes de Oca headquarters.
