October 13, 2016 by Staff News Writer

The Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT) enabled over 300 vacation options for the last long weekend of 2016, that will take place from October 15th to October 17th. It aims to promote domestic tourism through ‘¡Vamos a turistear!’ campaign.

Those interested can visit and explore www.vamosaturistear.com website, where you will find special rates up to 50% off in different hotels, 2 × 1 in tours, special prices on accommodation for Costa Ricans, day tours, spa treatments and other added values.

‘¡Vamos a turistear!’ is done with the support of more than 215 companies in the private tourism sector and it makes Costa Ricans enjoy the country, it makes them feel proud of it, but the most important part is that they will enjoy with their family or friends,

declared Luis Jara, from ICT public relations.

The campaign offers options for beach, nature, adventure, wellness and relaxation, tourism partner, family tourism, rural tourism and urban tourism in all the tourist regions of the country. Some of the offers are valid until next December. One of the objectives of the campaign is to have promotions and special rates regardless of the season.

‘¡Vamos a turistear!’ involves the Costa Rican Chamber of Hotels (CCH), the Costa Rican Association of Tour Operators (ACOT), the National Chamber of Tourism (CANATOR), the National Chamber of Rural-Community Tourism (CANTARURAL), the National Chamber of Ecotourism and Sustainable Tourism of Costa Rica (CANESCO) and the Costa Rican Chamber of Restaurants and Associates (CACORE).
