Venezuelan Constituent suspends Guaidó’s immunity and authorizes criminal trial

On Tuesday, the ruling Constituent Assembly of Venezuela stripped parliamentary leader Juan Guiadó of his immunity and authorized the highest court to prosecute him for misappropriation of functions. Guaidó is recognized as president in charge of Venezuela by more than 50 countries.

unanimously approved to authorize the continuation of the criminal prosecution of legislator Guaidó by the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ),”

announced Diosdado Cabello, president of the body that rules in Venezuela with absolute power.
