A few days ago, a video that shows the moment when hunters shoot a tapir and then they go after the animal with dogs went viral. The recording is a year old, according to the Nai Conservation Foundation, and would have happened in the south of the Cordillera de Talamanca.

According to Carlos Madriz, administrator of Corcovado National Park and official of the National System of Conservation Areas (Sinac)

what we do is to open an investigation of the case and therefore, we will contact the coordinator of the area in Talamanca to begin to work on this subject (…)”

According to the hierarch, it is very important to verify who is the person who recorded the video and confirm where it happened.
