Water supply suspension in Heredia for the entire week

September 24, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The Public Services Company of Heredia (ESPH) will carry out a series of cleaning works during this week in the tanks that supply San Rafael.

According to the entity, the works are done to guarantee the purity of the water after heavy rains. This is due to sediments washed away by rainfall.

From Monday to Thursday, a tank will be cleaned daily to reduce the effect on the population.Due to the various precipitations of the tanks they have sediments and materials, causing turbidity in the drinking water, so the works are necessary “, indicated the ESPH.

A total of 16 thousand people are expected to be affected. Work will be carried out between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The affected places are in San Rafael de Heredia:

Monday: Tirol tank (from El Tirol to the northern part of the downtown San Rafael)
Tuesday: Brasilia Grande tank (residential Aves del Paraíso, Bar La Trova until Los Angeles School)
Wednesday: Chamaco tank (downtown San Rafael, Matasanos street and Manzanos street)
Thursday: Higland Ranch Tank (residential El Castillo).
