What will the Discovery Park offer Costa Ricans?

April 19, 2017 by Staff News Writer

You can already see how the Discovery Park will be and you can do so in a virtual way.

Let’s not forget that this megaproject will be located next to Daniel Oduber Airport.

In addition to offering tourist and residential accommodations, Discovery Costa Rica’s extensive 880-hectare community (2,186 acres) will include a variety of hotels, a world-class hospitality and wellness resort, bike and hiking trails, sports training facilities, a crystal-clear water lagoon (Crystal Lagoon) an “inland ocean”, a water park, forest cabins and expanses, ravines and cliffs in the canyon, where you will see Liberia River.

A striking feature of this community is the “All-Green” design which, by using solar energy in the structures, will serve as a bold model of sustainability that will inspire urban planners around the world.

Located in the North Pacific, the Discovery Costa Rica beach resort will feature a 300-room hotel complex and condominium, as well as clubs, restaurants and a variety of water adventures ranging from scuba diving and snorkeling to kayaking, Water skiing and paragliding. Marine-life fans will be able to see whales, a “living ocean” aquarium, as well as exploring islands.

At the Discovery Costa Rica Volcano site, visitors will have a hostel and private cabins that will offer Costa Rican food and a thermal spa. The adventure menu features a canopy tour through the rainforest and over waterfalls, experiences of interactive education of mountain flora and fauna and interactive observations of the stars.
