Who are the Centennials?

November 16, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Millennials are the generation of young people who love the flexibility and freedom and whose ages range from 19 years old to 32 years old. They need and look for technological support, they adapt quickly to changes, they are passionate, but they need motivation.

However, they are not alone because the Centennials have now arrived. They are young people born after 1997 and they haven’t entered the labor market, but they will and they will face the same challenges as their predecessors.

According to information published in elfinanciero.com.mx, the Centennials are the first to be born under the wing of mobile devices. That means that they have always had access to information, which has effects and influences on the way they see and function in the globalized world. They do not conceive of life without being connected to social networks.

Although they are under the legal age, this new generation looks for short-term objectives, they are hyperlinked and independent, they support contribution and mobility, it is common for them to be bilingual, and they pursue autonomy and bet on the balance and the job security.

Perhaps the big difference with Millennials is that these young people understand that everything new is not necessarily better, therefore, they appreciate natural things and they have a sustainable consumption, what makes them look for a balance.
