Why is transit regulated by the police near San Juan de Dios Hospital?

August 26, 2018 by Staff News Writer

A strong police deployment as well as a regulated transit in front of San Juan de Dios Hospital complicated the traffic on Paseo Colón on Sunday, as a result of a shooting that occurred in the afternoon in Pavas.

There was a confrontation between several armed men, and the firemen in the area treated a wounded person but two other people were moved in private vehicles to San Juan.

The Public Force showed up to guard the area as well as several vehicles with the the arms used in the shooting. The information was confirmed by Randall Picado, director of the Public Force in San José.
