A Costa Rican woman named Ovares Navarro was arrested by the immigration authorities when she was trying to leave the country. She tried to leave Costa Rican soil by the Peñas Blancas border, despite having an arrest warrant against her.

As reported by the Directorate of Migration and Immigration, through the Press Office, the control system issued an alert at the time that Ovares submitted her documentation.

Ovares Navarro is required by the Prosecutor’s Office of Pérez Zeledón since June 2017. She was sent to the judicial authorities of Liberia,”
