Women will rule the Legislative Assembly during the first year

For the third time in history, a woman will be President of the Legislative Assembly. Carolina Hidalgo, from Acción Ciudadana party, will have the honor of presiding over the first year of the new legislative period. Next to her, there will be four more women in charge of the Legislature for the period 2018-2019.

Hidalgo will be accompanied by the legislator from the Social Christian Unity party, María Inés Solís, in the vice presidency. The second secretariat and the two secretariats were left in the hands of Ivonne Acuna, from National Restoration, Yorleny León from the PLN, and Shirley Diaz from the PUSC.

The only male legislator in the Directory is liberationist Luis Fernando Chacón, who will occupy the first secretariat.

The Board of Directors was already sworn in:
President: Carolina Hidalgo PAC
Vice President: María I. Solís PUSC
First Secretary: Luis F. Chacón PLN
Second Secretariat: Ivonne Acuña PRN
First Pro-Secretary: Yorleny León PLN
Second Pro-Secretary: Shirley Díaz PUSC
