Works on 18 areas of Tibás begin on Tuesday

The work of resurfacing and patching at least 18 areas of Tibás, San José, will start on Tuesday, so drivers should take into account different alternative routes.

As reported by the municipality of the canton, the districts where they will carry out the works are San Juan, León XIII, Cinco Esquinas and Llorente.

Initially, the works were to start on Monday. However, due to a problem with the machinery, works will start today. Therefore, the street located 200 meters north of the Cipreses bar in La Florida will be closed.

The works are scheduled until January 21st and 3,168 tonnes of asphalt are expected to be placed. The council reported that the areas where they will work are:

From Muflas Quirós, 200 m north and 100 m west.
From Cipreses bar, 100 m east and 100 m south.
From Florida Bakery, 200 m north and 250 m east.
From Pali de la Florida 150 m north.
From Alquileres 2,050 m to the east.
From San Juan Station 100 m west.
From Jesús Jiménez School 100 m west.

Staff of the Technical Unit of Road Management of the Municipality of Tibás will keep limited transit in the work areas.
