#Yolojunto invites you to put the trash in its place

December 9, 2016 by Staff News Writer

The goal of the campaign “Yo lo junto” is that everyone feels encouraged to contribute to the environment. Therefore they invite citizens to join and clean the streets of trash that other people left lying.

Sidewalks, parks, beaches and public places in general are the objective of this campaign. An urban picnic in the Francia Park in Escalante neighborhood and the cleaning in the area, motivated people join in the initiative.

Felipe Guardia, brand manager from Crystal Water, explained that they seek to set aside each indifference and commit to their environment.

We want to share the message that when you pick something up, you do a favor to yourself, to the community, to the environment, in short, to the whole world,”

said Guardia.

With only 3 steps people can join the initiative: the waste is collected even if it’s not yours, the action is shared on social networks (especially Facebook) with the hashtag #yolojunto and the trash is disposed of properly.

The campaign has several events scheduled on several beaches, such as Coco, Avellanas, Tamarindo, and Flamingo in the North Pacific, from December 26th to 30th.
