December 22, 2016 by Staff News Writer

A 10-mont old child has been missing in the Tortuguero Lagoon on Pococí Limón, after a small boat capsized on Wednesday morning.

The boat left the coast with approximately 8 people. After it capsized, everyone was rescued, but the child let go of his mother’s arms and since then he has not been located.

Neighbors with private boats and the Public Force are looking for the child,”

said Carlos Hidalgo, a spokesman for the Ministry of Public Security.
