December 23, 2016 by Staff News Writer

So far in 2016, the Transit Police has fined 29 drivers for driving a vehicle on a beach in the country.

All of them were given a fine of ¢ 51,771.84.

Before the arrival of Christmas and the increase in visits to the coastal area, the Traffic Police makes a warning call so that drivers remember driving on the beach is forbidden, in order to avoid accidents.

In addition, the institution issued a series of recommendations to those who are going to travel during or after Christmas:

– All drivers should use the safety belt.
– Do not overload the vehicle with excess baggage in order to avoid instability.
– The driver should sleep well the night before the trip.
– Check the mechanical and electrical condition of the vehicle before leaving.
