Police evacuates high-risk coastal areas

November 24, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Yesterday, Security Minister Gustavo Mata announced that the Public Force works hard to evacuate all inhabitants of the coastal areas of Barra del Colorado, Tortuguero and Parismina.

According to Mata, they managed to get all the people in the sector of Colorado and they are working to completely evacuate the remaining risk areas.

Around 500 police patrol the area to prevent theft and, according to Coast Guard Martin Arias, two subjects were arrested.

Arias said that they are already preparing to start the recovery of the area after the storm that would affect the country in the coming hours. They claim that they work so that absolutely no one stays in the area.
