Movistar reaches one million customers

According to George Abbey of Movistar Costa Rica, the company has over one million customers in the country, after two years in Costa Rica and investing $400 million. Abbey said that consumption of Internet data traffic per user is higher in Costa Rica than any other country. Smart phone users account for 65 percent of Movistar’s mobile data customers and 85 percent use the Internet daily, regardless of whether on the prepaid or postpaid network.
