The teacher who married her 15-year-old student impugned the complaint against her

December 1, 2016 by Staff News Writer

The 40-year-old teacher who married a 15-year-old student of his 15 years, from the Department of Special Education at the Professional-Technical Private School of San Isidro de Pérez Zeledón, impugned the complaint against her.

So was announced by Yaxinia Diaz, Director of Human Resources at the Ministry of Public Education (MEP), who also explained that the teacher presented her side of the story.

The teacher was removed from office as soon as CRHoy.com announced the case in previous August. She is located at the Regional Directorate and the precautionary measure will continue as long as the process is in progress.

Sonia Marta Mora, Minister of Education, explained then that authorities must follow due procedures, but if she is found guilty, the official could even lose her job.
