Authorities investigate fraud with luxury condominiums

National authorities are investigating an alleged fraud by a real estate company that sales luxury condominiums.

According to the Office of the Deputy Prosecutor against Frauds, there is an investigation against the company Homes Real Estate Group, on accounts of consumer swindle.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office said the real estate projects in question are luxury condominiums Real Garita in La Garita de Alajuela, Real Boungainvillea, in Santo Tomás de Santo Domingo de Heredia, and Condado del Valle, in San Sebastián.

The investigation was initiated following recent statements and publications in national media, and several complaints by affected people,”

said José Pablo Miranda, Fraud Prosecutor in charge of the case.

The Prosecutor’s Office indicated that those affected by this fraud can visit the offices of the Office of the Deputy Prosecutor against Frauds, with file number 17-91-1220-PE, to formally join the process.
