$310,380 confiscated from Honduran man

March 30, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Officers of the Drug Control Police (PCD) of the Ministry of Public Security seized $310,380 from a 29-year-old Honduran man named Peña.

The man traveled with a firearm and intended to enter the country by Peñas Blancas, border with Nicaragua.

Drug Control agents checked the container, which is why they discovered that the packages were meticulously placed inside the air conditioning system located under the front passenger seat of the truck carrying steel rolls as a licit cargo.

The PCD reported that the money was distributed in 12 packages. Anti-drug officers also seized currency from other Central American countries.
