Police demands unity of institutions to confront narcs

April 18, 2017 by Staff News Writer

After a judge released four individuals who were arrested with a ton of marijuana, the Public Force authorities asked all institutions to join the fight against drug trafficking.

Last Thursday, four men were arrested and a judge in Limón granted them freedom because the amount of drugs was not accurate. The subjects were transporting more than a ton of marijuana.

The fight against drug trafficking is everyone’s business. We are shielding you from the bullets at sea, in the air and in the streets. The Public Force arrests criminals again and again. As an institution of the State we respect the criteria of the other powers, however, we must all align so that we are focused on the same struggle and spirit,” said director of the Public Force Juan José Andrade.

Minister Gustavo Mata lamented the decision of the judge and expressed it the previous Thursday in the social networks.
